In 2011, I began “occupying” my family’s front lawn with simple art installations that advocated for a just, healthy, and fun world. Passersby, free to ignore or interact with our offerings, often expressed delight at our use of the public / private front lawn space for political dialogue. In 2013, Patty Hine, Deb McGee, and I co-founded 350 Eugene, the local chapter of the international climate action group 350.org. I became creative director and, with my family’s and 350 Eugene’s help, launched more ambitious interactive art protests. Enjoy this tour of highlights!
